Prehniet cluster. Het mineraal prehniet is een calcium-aluminium-silicaat met de chemische formule Ca₂Al₂Si₃O₁. Het mineraal behoort tot de fylosilicaten. Het doorzichtig tot doorschijnend kleurloze, witte, grijze of geel tot geelgroene prehniet heeft een glas- tot parelglans, een witte streepkleur en de splijting is duidelijk volgens het kristalvlak.

Prehnite cluster. The mineral prehnite is a calcium aluminum silicate with the chemical formula Ca₂Al₂Si₃O₁. The mineral belongs to the phyllosilicates. The transparent to translucent colorless, white, gray or yellow to yellow-green prehnite has a glass to pearl luster, a white stripe color and the cleavage is clear according to the crystal plane.
